Meine Gefühle für dich, sie müssen sich drücken und ziehen, hineinzwängen, verändern, verformen, denn mir fehlen die Worte.
My feelings for you, they have to push and pull, squeeze in, change, deform, because words fail me.

Close-ups
The translation of emotions into language appears as a frustrating process of simplification and falsification due to the lack of words for love. The complex structure of our feelings is forced into the clear forms of language and thus changed.

folded Flyer
210x735mm
Printed on a 14-paged folded flyer, a panorama of environmental and humanitarian disasters gets visible. Pictures we get to see everyday through different media, on different platforms. While the pictures dominate the Design visually, they are not addressed thematically. Whereas the text behaves like us humans. Despite the overwhelming number of signals to finally do something about the current and impending crises, we hide in the mess that we leave behind and try to find ways to escape our responsibilities.

„Pandemic Memorial“ is not a memorial in the usual sense. It reminds, helps and prevents. It’s timeless. It consists of three abstract bodies that interlock but do not touch at any point. Stripes of light are placed on every body, which connect the figures from three perspectives despite the distance.

Description
Each light strip contains exchangeable containers, which, depending on the area of application, can be filled with masks, disinfectants, Plaster, etc.. A small and a large variant ensures a flexible choice of location. The material is concrete, consciously chosen to establish a connection between the sculpture and the urban life of the city. The monument stands for the time of the distance, what comes after and everything we learned.
The bodies are positioned in such a way that enough space is maintained between the people even when they are fully occupied.
